WORK RESUMED ON NELSON RAILWAY

Reclamation For Station Yards (New Zealand Press Association) NELSON, August 8. Work has resumed on reclaiming the Nelson mudflat land for railway purposes. It was started again this morning with a labour force and set-up similar to that which was engaged on “exploratory” work which was completed just over a week ago. This morning work started on reclaiming the area immediately off Trafalgar road, where the proposed station yards, covering approximately 10 acres, will be developed. The resident Ministry of Works engineer (Mr L. P. Jamieson) said this afternoon that sufficient information had been gained in the exploratory stages to allow work to proceed without interruption.
