Insurance Shares Firmer
New Zealand Insurance shares rose 2s 6d to 67s in Christchurch business yesterday. National Insurance rose a further 6d, and South British B recovered Monday’s 6d drop. Woolworths rose sharply to 15s lOd and 16s after Monday’s rise in Sydney. Coles were fractionally easier. Clyde Industries, Fletchers rights, Watties Canneries, United Empire Box and Woolworths (N.Z.) also made, gains. Colonial Sugar fell £1 to £7l. Christchurch Gas, K.P. Drugs and Wilsons Malt were also easier.
