Australian Wool Levy.—Australian woolgrowers will pay a wool promotion levy of 5s a bale —an increase of Is from today.— N.Z.PJL, Canberra, August 1. Personal,—Mr K. B. Myers, of Auckland, chairman of directors of the South British Insurance Company, Ltd., has been appointed to the board of directors of the United Insurance Company, Ltd.. Sydney. This follows the recent merger of interests between the two companies.

Alex Harvey Issue.—Terms of the issue of Alex Harvey and Sons. Ltd.. Auckland, of one for 10 ordinary 10* shares at a 15e premium were announced yesterday. Applications close on September 1. IMO. The sum of Uz 6d (5e capital and 7a fid premium) is payable on application and the remaining 12s Od (5a capital and 7s fid premium) is payable not earlier than April 1. 10C1. New shares will rank equally with existing shares for dividend from the date of allotment on capital called and paid. Existing shares win be ex riishts on August 1- — (P.A.)
