MEAT EXPORTERS “NOT SATISFIED”
Representation On Export Company
(New Zealand Press Association) AUCKLAND. August 1. The Independent Meat Exporter Association has been told by the Meat Board that the association is represented on the directorate of the new Meat Export Development Company by the board representatives. Mr D. Lichtenstein chairman of the association, said today: “This is not satisfactory from our angle. We will continue to press for direct representation by our own appointee, although we have been assured by the Meat Board that our interests will be protected.” The association will meet in Auckland on Friday to consider its next move. Members are hoping for another official meeting with Meat Board members, including the chairman (Mr J. D. Ormond), who returns from London on Thursday.
