Report On Urgent Questions

The Commission on Education last Thursday delivered to the Minister of Education (Mr Skoglund) a 107-page report on urgent questions. The chairman (Sir George Currie) announced this during the opening Christchurch session when evidence touched on the teacher shortage and teachers’ salaries. “We have not yet undertaken a full re-evaluation of these questions,” he said, “hut some points are relevant to the teacher shortage in postprimary schools.”
