A general invitation is extended to members of the Public to attend the Opening of the George Forbes Memorial Library by His Excellency, The Viscount Cobham, G.C.M.G., T.D., GovernorGeneral of New Zealand, on Thursday, August 11, 1960, at 10.30 a.m. This Library commemorates the service to New Zealand of the Right Honourable George William Forbes, Prime Minister 1930-35. After the Opening Ceremony visitors are invited to inspect the building. As the floor is finished in soft cork lino, ladies are requested not to wear shoes with stiletto or similar type heels. H. G. Office of the Company, Spey street, Oamaru, on Thursday, the 18th day of August, 1960, at 2.30 p.m. to transact the following special business and to consider the resolutions relating thereto as recommended by the Directors. INCREASE OF CAPITAL To consider and if thought fit to pass the following as ordinary resolutions:— 1— That the authorised capital of the Company be increased from five hundred thousand pounds (£500,000) to one million pounds (£1,000,000) by the creation of 500,000 additional ordinary shares of £1 each ranking in all respects pari passu with the existing ordinary capital of the company. 2 That 106,250 ordinary shares of £1 each (or such proportion thereof as may be necessary) be converted into fully paid stock to the nominal value of 5s as and when the shareholders of Macky, Logan, Caldwell Limited accept the offer made to them for the purchase of thirir ordinary shares and thereupon five stock units of the nominal value of 5s each shall be exchanged for each fully paid ordinary share of £1 in Macky, Logan, Caldwell Ltd., and shall be allotted to the shareholders of that company accordingly.
