PIGEON SHOW Canterbury Club’s
Annual Event
The Canterbury Pigeon Flying Club held a most successful annual show recently in the club rooms. Entries were received from as far away as Dunedin and Hastings, and 239 birds were benched. The judges were Messrs Lucas and Dee, from Mosgiel, Dunedin. Results:—
W. Whiteside, 6 firsts,' 8 specials: W. Hathaway, 3 firsts, 5 specials, 3 seconds; O. Freeman. 3 firsts, 3 specials, 4 seconds, 2 thirds; Mann and Anderson, 3 firsts, 3 specials. 1 second. 2 thirds: B. Gates, 3 firsts. 3 specials, 1 second. 2 thirds; R. Blight, 3 firsts. 3 specials, 1 third: A. Stone, 2 firsts. 2 specials, 3 seconds, 1 third; F. Davidson, 1 first, 1 special, 1 second, 1 third; A. Anderson, 1 first, 1 special, 2 thirds; J. Hartland, 1 first, 1 special; J. Howatson, 3 specials. 1 third; A. Rowe. 2 seeconds, 1 third; C. C. Minty, 1 second, 1 third.
