WELSH RADIO COUNCIL
Resignations Over Chairman
(N.Z. Press Association—Dopyngtit). LONDON, July 25.
Two members of the National Broadcasting Council for Wales have resigned in protest over the Government appointment of the non-Welsh-speaking wife of the Dean of Brecon, Mrs Rachel Jones, as its chairman.
They are the president of the Welsh Nationalist Party, Aiderman Gwynfor Evans, and the senior lecturer in philosophy at Bangor University College, Mr H. Morris-Jones.
Mrs Jones has been the centre of a storm of protest since her appointment a few months ago because she does not speak Welsh.
