Record Passes By Nurses

In the recent first professional State nursing examinations, 104 out of 106 candidates from Christchurch Hospital were successful, 21 of them. gaining honours.

"It must be almost a record,” said Mrs J. E. Mackay at yesterday’s meeting of the North Canterbury Hospital Board. “It reflects great credit on the tutoring at the hospital.” The board decided to extend congratulations to all concerned and also to Nurse J. P. Wilson on her election as Dominion president of the Student Nurses’ Association. The election, said the chairman (Dr. L. C. L. Averill), was a tribute to Nurse Wilson’s ability and personality.
