Auckland’s Cancer Campaign Society (New Zealand Press Association) AUCKLAND, July 27. Extensions to the research programme are planned by the Auckland division of the British Empire Cancer Campaign Society. Members of the medical and scientific professions were now being invited to submit research schemes, said the chairman of the research advisory committee (Dr. S. Hills) at the annual meeting of the division tonight. The schemes would be assessed for establishment as short-term research fellowships. Splendid public support in the form of research donations had been received, said the president (Mr J. Grierson). These included an anonymous gift of £5OO. Mr Grierson was re-elected president He has held the position for more than 10 years.
