Advice To Policemen
“With you is the responsibility for the maintenance of law and order throughout lhe country,” said a former chief inspector, Mr F. W. Edwards, at a passing-out parade at the Police Training School, Trentham, yesterday. To the assembled wing, which included five Maoris and two policemen from the Gilbert and Ellice Islands, he said: “Carry out your duties with tact, courtesy and common sense. If you do that, you will earn the respect of the public.”—(P.A.)
