LIQUOR THEFT

Youths Interviewed By Detectives Three youths have been interviewed by detectives in connexion with the theft of £406 worth of liquor, cigars and cigarettes from Ballins Industries’ new retail store in Carlyle street on the night of July 13. The offence had been cleared up and three persons would appear in Court at a later date, said a senior officer of the C. 1.8. yesterday afternoon. Some of the stolen goods have been recovered. The liquor taken from the store consisted of six and a half cases of whisky, one and a half cases of gin, one case and 10 bottles of brandy, three cases of sherry, two bottles of vodka, 24 quarts of Pimms, 12 bottles of advocat and an assortment of cocktails. The office was ransacked and £ll was stolen from a drawer. Fifteen thousand cigarettes which were stored in the office, 260 cigars and 21b of tobacco were also stolen.
