NOTICE OF INTENTION TO LEVY RATES PUBLIC NOTICE is hereby given pursuant to the provisions of Section 54 of the Rating Act, 1925, that it is the intention of the Waipara County Council at its next meeting to be held at Walkari on the Bth day of August, 1960, to make and levy a General Rate of One and three-sixteenths (1 3-16) of a Penny in the Pound on the Capital Value of all the rateable property appearing upon the Valuation Rolls of the Waipara County: a Special Rate of One Penny (Id) in the Pound on the Capital Value of all the rateable property in the Lake Sumner Special Rating Area: a Separate Rate of One-twentieth (1-20) of a Penny in the Pound on the Capital Value of all the rateable property in the Horsley Down Drainage and Water Supply Area, and pursuant to Section 115 of the Counties Act, 1956, a uniform annual fee for refuse collection of Ten shillings 10/-) on such properties in the township of Waikari as have a building thereon and in respect of which the Council is prepared to provide such service: such Rates and Fees to be for the period of twelve months commencing on the Ist day of April, 1960. and ending on the 31st dav of March. 1961. and shall be due and payable in one sum at the County Office at Waikari on the Bth day of August. 1900. PUBLIC NOTICE is also given that pursuant to Section 64 of the Rating Act. 1925. the Waipara County Council has by resolution decided to allow to every ratepayer a rebate of Sixpence (6d) in each complete Pound of so much of the amount of rates payable by him as is paid before the expiration of Thirty (30) davs after the due date thereof.
