HUMAN SKULL FOUND

! (New Zealand Press Association) WANGANUI. July 17. A human skull has been found J on the property of Mr G. Rogers, in the Matarawa valley, Okoia. ; It is in a fair state of preservation, particularly the teeth. Police are making inquiries. Mr Rogers recently had a bull--1 dozer at work on soil removal • and levelling. It was not until some days after the bulldozer had done its work that he saw the skull showing through new • grass. Inquiries the police will conduct wiil be determined by a ■ report bn the skull. If it is com- ■ paratively new. checks bn miss- ■ ing persons will be made. A search will probably be made for the remaining portion of a skeleton. It is possible that the 1 bulldozer may have shifted the 1 skull from where it originally 1 had lain.
