Oratory Contest Winner
“The Press" Special Service WELLINGTON. July 7- ‘ A woman' .won the Victoria University Debating Society's Plunket Medal recently 'tar the first time Since 1942. She is Miss M. Boyle. The contest was considered by the judges,’ Mr F. J. Kitts, Mrs Z. R. N Graham and Professor K. J. Scott, to be one of the best for many years. Mrs Graham »said she fait strongly that women should take more part in public speaking because they bad a viewpoint of their own.
