Prince Charles Gets Entered For Guards
LONDON, July 3. Prince Charles, who will be aged 12 in November, has been put down for a commission in the Grenadier Guards, said the “Sunday Express.” Last week the Queen filled in a “blue form,” filled in advance by parents. The point of the story is that it is known Prince Charles himself wants to go into .the Navy. Coarse Wool Tariff.—President Eisenhower yesterday signed into law the bill recently passed by Congress to make permanent the exemption from United States tariff duties of imports of coarse wools used to manufacture rugs, carpets, and papermakers' felts. These' wools are supplied principally to the United States by New Zealand.—Washington, July 2.
