PUBLIC NCTICtS AIR SERVICES LICENSING AUTHORITY NOTICE OF SITTING Application* in respect of Air Service Licences have been received as described in the Schedule hereunder* and a public sitting of the Air Service* Licensing Authority will be held commencing at' 10 ajn. on Monday. July 11, 1960, in tne Provincial Chamber* Christchurch, for the purpose of receiving evidence in favour of or against the granting of the application*. Any person or organisation wishing to object to or support the granting of any application is directed to give notice thereof to me and to the applicants concerned at least three clear days prior to the date of the sitting. A notice of the objections must state therein in general terms the grounds of objection. SCHEDULE Application by RURAL AVIATION, LIMITED, P.O. Box 389, New Plymouth, for the renewal of: (1) Air Service Licence No. 116 (a) and (b) and to amend the terms and conditions of Air Service Licence No. 116 (a) to permit aerial top dressing throughout the area in the South Island, south of an east-west line through Kaikoura, and to permit the use of three additional Cessna aircraft in this area. (Air Service Licence No. 116 (a) authorises aerial top dressing with 13 Cessna 180 aircraft in that part of the Auckland Provincial District included in the area west and south of a line direct from Kawhia to Te Kuiti, thence direct to the northern boundary of the Tamaki Provincial District; the Taranaki Provincial District; the Wellington Provincial Dstrict; excluding that area west of the Tararua Ranges south of a line running east-west through Palmerston North; the Hawke’s Bay Provincial District, and other aerial work operations anywhere in New Zealand. Air Service Licence No.. 116 (b) authorises taxi and charter services with 2 Cessna 180 aircraft from New Plymouth. (2) The renewal of Air Service Licence No. 46 (Air Service Licence No. 46 at present authorises aerial top dressing with 1 Cessna 180 aircraft throughout the area generally described as being the Hawke’s Bay Province, and other aerial work operations anywhere in New Zealand. .. (3) The renewal of Air Service Licence No. 129 (Air Service Licence No. 129 at present authorises aerial top dressing with 1 Cessna 180 and 1 aircraft of 10-Iscwt capacity throughout the area generally described as bounded by a line drawn from a point four miles nortfi of Awakino thence due east to Mahoenui, thence due south until met by a'line drawn from New Plymouth, following the main road to Inglewood, thence in an easterly direction through Purangr, and other aerial work operations anywhere in New Zealand. (4) The transfer to the above company of Air Service Licence No. 142 at present in the name of TARANAKI AERIAL SERVICE, LIMITED (Air Service Licence No. 142, authorises aerial top dressing in that part of Auckland and Taranaki Provin* cial Districts contained by a line joining Awakino, Mahoenui, the head of the Puniwhakau Valley, -and Opunake; and other aerial work operations anywhere in New Zealand, with 1 DH 82 and 1 Piper PA 18 aircraft). This application will be considered by the Authority pursuant to Section 29 of the Air Services Licensing Act, 1951. If, however, any objections are received, then the application for the proposed transfer will be heard at the above hearing. The above applications also seek the right to operate a heavy aircraft within the operators’ licensed territory or any extension thereof on such terms and conditions as may be laid down by the Authority.
