U.N. Commends Role Of NX (Rec. 8 p.m.) ■ : NEW YORK. July 1. The United Nations Trusteeship, Council last night New Zealand and the Samojm people for the progress made-in-Western Samoa during the last year. « The council, in a report at the end of its twenty-sixth session, praised plans for preparing Western Samoa for Independence by the end of .1961, if not earlier. In view of the progress made, the council unanimously recommended that Western Samoa be inscribed as a separate agenda item for discussion by the 1960 General Assembly.
