Doubtful Starters At Washdyke

(New Zealand Press Association) DUNEDIN. June 30. Pot Luck (Tekapo Hack Hurdles) and Renway (Timaru Hack Steeplechase) are two members of H A. Anderton’s team which are unlikely to make the trip to Washdyke for the first day of the South Canterbury Jockey Club’s winter meeting. Pot Luck scored an attractive win when he beat Capet in the Pukemaori Hurdles at Invercargill in May, but his subsequent racing has been disappointing. Renway failed to measure up to the expectations of his trainer in his last trial and as he appears to be still suffering from a schooling accident he may be put aside for a time.
