SALES OUTSIDE BRITAIN
Record Expected This Season "The Press" Special Service WELLINGTON, June 30. A record proportion of New Zealand’s dairy exports would be sold in markets outside the United Kingdom during the current season, the chairman of the Dairy Products Marketing Commission (Mr R. A. Candy) told the Dominion dairy conference today. He said that before the Second World War sales of New Zealand dairy products to markets other than Britain amounted to about 7000 tons a year, or 3 per cent, of the total. Last season, the commission had sold 50,000 tons or about 15 per cent, to these markets. In the season now ending, it would sell- about 61,000 tons, or 18J per cent, to markets outside the United Kingdom.
