Four Men Sentenced On 35 Charges

(New Zealand Press Association) WELLINGTON, June 24

Three youths and a man, charged with a total of 35 offences involving car conversion, theft and receiving, received sentences of Borstal training or probation when they appeared before Mr Hanna, S.M.. in the Magistrate's Court, at Wellington, today Richmond Jon Scoular Fleming, aged 18. workman, and Gerard Fransescus De Bont, aged 18. workman, were both sentenced to Borstal.

The Magistrate made an order that the two undergo their training at different institutions. Gavin James Maginnity aged 18. scholar. Xvas released on probation for a term of two years He was forbidden to hire, own or drive a car without, the probation officer’s consent.

John Edward Reynolds, aged 21. workman, was released on probation for a term of one year. He was also ordered to pay £lO 10s toward the costs of prosecution, and £35 ;
