United Discount Steps Up Capital

Issued capital of United Discount Company of Australia Pty. Ltd. has been increased by 50,000 £1 ordinary shares, which have been taken up by the Colonial Mutual Life. Assurance Society Ltd.

Announcing this in Melbourne yesterday, the chairman of United Discount Company (Mr lan Potter) said that the company was a subsidiary of Australian United Corporation, Ltd.

The other shareholders were a group comprising Lazard Bros, and Company, Ltd. and Morgan Grenfell and Company, Ltd, London merchant banks, and 'Die Anglo-Australian Corporation, Pty. Ltd, of Melbounie.
