Council Car Park Proves Popular
The number of cars using the new city council parking area in Tuam street has doubled since the park opened about the middle of May. One Friday recently, there were almost 500 cars using the park, which is usually full on Friday evenings. The park can accommodate 230 cars without using the lanes which divide the parking areas.
Of the 44 spaces for week-day parking there are only three left vacant.
