MR WALSH’S VIEW OF ORDER

“Not Victory For

Workers” (New Zealand Press Association) WELLINGTON, June 21. The president of the Federation of Labour (Mr F. P. Walsh) would not comment on Mr Armstrong’s decision. Mr Walsh’s only remark was that he did not consider the decision a victory for the workers. Representatives of workers in the industry are expected to hold a meeting with a record attendance tomorrow morning in the Wellington Trades Hall. The conference is to discuss setting up a national body covering the industry, which is at present split into sections throughout the country. Representatives from each shed in New Zealand have been invited to attend the conference and some unions are expected to be represented by as many as 20 delegates
