Assault With Intent To Rob

(New Zealand Press Association) AUCKLAND, June 21. Mr F. McCarthy, S.M., sentenced Jocelyn Sandra Kingston, aged 34, to 11 months’ gaol when she appeared for sentence today on a charge of assault with intent to rob. “This is about half what it should be,” said the Magistrate, “but I am giving you a chance.”

Kingston was charged after an attack by her and two men on Din Sim, a 79-year-old Chinese, in his room early on the morning of May 19. '

The prison term is to be followed by 12 months’ probation.
