Onehunga Council’s
Decision
(New Zealand Press Association) AUCKLAND, June 21.
The Onehunga Borough Council has decided to admit the newspapers to all its committee meetings, as well as its general meetings. The Town Clerk (Mr N. L. Norman) said today the decision was made in the general interests of the public. “In the past three councils there appears to have been a fear of the newspapers.’’ said the Mayor (Mr L. A. Manning), “but we toll we should take the newspapers into our confidence. We want to encourage the newspapers to give as much publicity to council affaire aa potobla.”
