TENDERS are invited for the laying of 3ft dia. Pipes inside tunnels which are timbered and generally 6ft high and 4ft wide. Pipes are to be laid with rubber ring joints and pulled up tight. The placing of backfilling material round the pipes and compacting as specified, with loose material to the full height of the pipes; the removal of rails as pipes are laid, and construction of reinforced concrete portals at each end of both tunnels.
