Large Crowd Watches Judging

(New Zealand Press Association) HAMILTON, June 21.

The golden jubilee celebrations of the New Zealand Friesian Association in Hamilton this week were ushered in at the Claudelands Showgrounds today. A large and representative gallery, which included a contingent from Australia, watched the Australian judge, Mr C. A. Hindmarch, of Gerringong, New South Wales, place the entries in the show classes.

Championship female in the show was Sunnbrae Minuet, the property of Mr A. W. Montgomerie, Mangere, while the championship ribbons in the male division were awarded to Ruaview D.C. Supreme, the entry of Mr R. H. Hammond, of Ohakune.

Class results were as follows: Cow in calf: A. W. Montgomerie (Mangere), 1; B. S. Kyle (Otaki), 2; Jas. Stephenson and Company (Taupiri), 3.

Heifer in calf or in milk: H. S. Rennie (Mangere), 1; A. W Montgomerie (Mangere), 2; D. and G. T. Bathgate (Outram), 3. Yearling bull: W. C. Chynoweth (Hamilton), 1; Jas. Stephenson and Company (Taupiri), 2; R. F. Dickie (Gore), 3. Two-year-old bull: R. H. Hammond (Ohakune), 1; C. A. Knutson (Otorohanga), 2; A. W. Montgomerie (Mangere), 3.
