EVENING HOTEL HOURS
Suggestion Supported By Union Secretary
(New Zealand Press Association) DUNEDIN, June 21.
The establishment of special mixed “sit-down” public lounges in hotels with evening licences received support in Dunedin tonight from the local branch secretary of the Hotel, Hospital, and Restaurant Workers' Union (Mr H. Marsden). Mr Marsden said he would personally like to see the introduction of barmaids, but not if it aggravated the hotel staffing position or jeopardised the employment of male bar workers.
