Overseas Reserves Down £lm
New Zealand’s reserves declined for the second week in succession in the week ended June 8. The latest figure of net overseas assets of the Nw Zealand banking system is £ 114.1 m. a drop of £l.om in a week. This figure is still £ 19.8 m above the figure for the first week in June of last year. In 1959 overseas assets mounted almost every week until mid-September, but the usual seasonal movement is a rise until the end of June or early July, followed by a decline until January. z
