DRIVING LICENCE RENEWALS

* l/M Of Post Advised Queuing for the renewal of driving licences would be avoided if the public renewed licences by post, said a spokesman for the City Council Traffic Department yesterday. Any licence could be renewed by post, as long as it was previously issued by the Christchurch City Council and was accompanied by a stamped, addressed envelope. Very few persons had used the post for the new licences, though with the expected rush at the end of the month it would save time both for the public and the staff, said the spokesman.
