Pursuant to Section 54 of the Rating Act, 1925, Public Notice is hereby given that in exercise of the powers conferred on it in that behalf, it is the intention of the Amur! County Council at its ordinary meeting to be held at 1.30 p.in. on Friday, the Ist day of July, 1960 at the Council Chambers, Cufverden, to make and levy the following rates and water charges. 1. Under* Section 105 of the Counties Act, 1956, a general rate of a penny three farthings in the pound on the capital value of all rateable property appearing on the valuation rolls of the Amuri County. 2. Under Section 38 of the Water Supply Act, 1908 and the Amuri County Water Race Bylaws: (a) A Balmoral water race maintenance charge of threetenths, three-twentieths and onetwentieth of a penny In the pound on the capital value of all class A. B. and C lands respectively in the Balmoral Water race district. (b) A Waiau Plains Water race maintenance charge of one shilling and four pence per acre on all rateable land in the Waiau Plains Water race district. 3. Under Section 122 of the Counties Act, 1920 and Section 2 of the Counties Amendment Act, 1929, a Waiau Hall maintenance rate of one-fiftieth of a penny in the pound or the capital value of all rateable property in the Waiau and Lyndon ridings. 4. Under Part X of the County By-laws, a charge of £1 10s for domestic and £3 for trade refuse removal in the Hanmer Town Area. 5. In exercise of the powers conferred on it in respect to drainage and sanitation in the Hanmer Town Area, a charge of £2 per connexion with the Hanmer Sewerage system. 6. A Culverden Hall Loan special rate of 3/40d in the £ on the capital value of all rateable property in the Pahau Riding. 7. A Hanmer Springs Water Supply Loan special rate of 1.29 d in the £ on the capital value of all rateable property in the Hanmer Water Supply special area.

8. A Hanmer Springs War Memorial Hall Loan special rate of 2/25d in the £ on the capital value of all rateable property in the Hanmer Riding. 9. A Balmoral Water Supply loan special rate of 1 l-sd, 3-sd, and 1-5 in the £ on the capital value of all rateable property in class A, B and C lands respectively in the Balmoral Water race district.
