Extension In North West Area

The growth of the housing area in the north-west district of the city had necessitated the Christchurch Transport Board giving notice of introducing a local bill in the next session of Parliament amending the Christchurch Tramways Act, 1920, to bring the area into the board’s district, said Mr J. F. Fardell, general manager of the Transport Board. The proposed new district would include the north-west area up to the present urban belt and would take in the large housing development in the district.
