Trade “Very Good?
The London meat trade was described as “very good” at the close of business last week, according to the Bank of New Zealon London office. Prices for chilled beef remained unchanged in spite of heavier shipments from the Argentine, says the report.
New Zealand lambs are firmer with good consumption due possibly to the slow appearance of home-killed produce. The price of New Zealand wethers remained unchanged, but ewes were weaker because of heavy arrivals.
Prices for New Zealand meat, ex hooks, Smithfield, in the week ended June 10, with the variation since the previous week are quoted as tol lows:—
