Anna Panker Dead?

(N.Z. Press Association—Copyright) LONDON, June 14 The former Rumanian Foreign Minister, Anna Pauker, is believed to have died last week, says the “Daily Express.” No announcement has been made in the Rumanian Communist press, but the report was so well known and the details so precise that it was almost certainly true, the paper said. Anna Pauker, who would be 66 this year, was one of Stalin’s most staunch followers. In 1952 she was purged as a deviationist and went into obscurity. She was given a minor job in a State publishing house and lately had been working as a local government employee.
