MINOR FIRES

One unit from the St. Albans fire station and a tender from the Waimairi County Council attended a small fire in a house at 21 Tyrone street, Belfast, the property of Mr R. T. McFadden, at 11.49 am. yesterday A linen cupboard was destroyed. At 12.13 p.m. one unit from the Sockburn fire station attended a fire in a car near 106 Middlepark road The car. which is owned by Mr Douglas McKenzie, suffered slight damage to the engine and bodywork. The cause of the fire is not known.

One unit from the central fire station extinguished an oven fire at 141 Bordsley street, Linwood the property of Mr Edward Reid, at 12.25 p.m. yesterday. No damage was caused.
