Moral Re-armament

Sir,—lt is presumptuous of Moral Re-armament to claim our modern world’s choice is Moral Re-armament or Communism, as neither, in reality, exist. The conflicting realities are, in varying form and degree, greed based on violence, dominated by the few over the many, as opposed to love 'and co-operation dominated by the many over the few! Which wins will be decided by economics through the immutable laws of cause and effect and nothing to do with superstition, propaganda or witch doctors clearing off with bags of gold. Machiavelli's man resembled a beast driven by fear and greed and subdued by terror. Political struggle allows no neutrality, so one must be a true friend of the people for peace and progress or alternatively weakness and vacillation. Many will not understand immediately, but if left to live in peace will completely comprehend later. —Yours, etc., MELVILLE B. MITCHELL. June 4, 1960.
