Rider Hurt In Fall

(New Zealand Press Association) DUNEDIN, June 6. B. S. Dodds, rider of The Missus, which fell half a mile from home in the Novice Stakes at Wingatui today, fractured his left collarbone. Dodds said his horse had clipped the heels of another runner, and that no other horse or rider had contributed to the accident. This was confirmed by the patrol steward and by A. J. Stokes (Listen), who was close behind. In the Otago Hurdles Pot Luck lost his rider, R. O. Cairns, Greencllle (P. L. Fraser) fell, and Karak (W. J. Klimeck) was stopped by the riderless hone. Pot Luck, going to the fence by the mile. He jumped the fence but stopped on landing. There were no injuries.
