Londonderry Bans Wilde Film

The film “Oscar Wilde,” starring Robert Morley, has been banned in Londonderry, Northern Ireland.
The City Corporation? meeting today after seeing the film in a local cinema, first rejected a proposal that permission be given for the showing of the film to adults only. On a show of hands a motion not to allow the film to be screened was carried. The board has yet to pas sor reject a second film on Wilde, “The Trials of Oscar Wilde,” starring Peter Finch.
