UPSET WIN AT WARWICK FARM

SYDNEY, June 1. The New Zealand filly, Good Decision (12 to 1 against), gave puntters a setback in the first race at Warwicg Farm today when it comfortably beat the odds-on favourite, Mendlson.
Good Decision responded well to vigorous riding by the young Sydney apprentice, F. Hodder, and won by three lengths. Hodder claimed a 21b allowance. French Empire, which was backed at long prices, put up a good performance to run third. The winning margins were three lengths and half a head. The time for the six furlongs was Imin 13 9-10 sec. Mendlson was 5 to 4 on and French Empire 16 to 1 against.
