Goods Stolen From T.A.B. Office
An attempt to open “the safe of the St. Albans TAB. cm Monday night was unsuccessful but a gold watch, a radio, an electric clock and a 10s note, of a total value ct £l6 l£a wore stolen. Detectives of the C. 1.8. believe that the same thieves may habe been responsible for the theft of a fan heater, steam iron and an electric jug of a total value of £27 7s 6d from Masons Dry Cleaners depot at <79 Papanui road. Entry was gained by smashing a fanlight The premises of VW Motors (N.Z.) Ltd. in Kilmore street were entered and the office ransacked but nothing was stolen.
