BEAUTY CONTEST
Judging Of N.Z. Final In Dunedin
(New Zealand Press Association) DUNEDIN, May 31. Five girls will assemble in Dunedin tomorrow afternoon for the final of the “Mias New Zealand” contest which will take erne of them to Miami Beach, Florida, for the “Miss Universe” contest The girls will make several public appearances while in Dunedin, but on only two occasions will they appear before the judging panel. . On Friday evening the initial judging will take place at the Town Hall and on Monday the final judging will be held. Immediately after this the New Zealand winner will be announced. The provincial finalists are: “Miss Auckland.” Marlene Mavis Allan; “Miss Wellington,” Lorraine Mawa Jones; “Miss Canterbury,” Coleen Neale; “Miss Otago,” Margaret Ruth Sotting; and “Miss Southland,” Joan Clifford.
