Soccer WELLINGTON TEAM SELECTED
Playing Canterbury On Monday
The following team has been selected to represent Wellington against Canterbury in the first interprovincial soccer match at English Park this season on Monday:—?. L Whiting; W. King. A. Juner; J. Warrender (captain), R. Leonard, S. Foye, T. McCabe, A. Inglis, A. Schryvers, W. Usk, J. Barton. Reserves: R. Reid, K. Williams. This team should prove a formidable combination. Four players have represented New Zealand— Warrender, Juner, McCabe, and Reid.
Whiting and Llsk have been selected as reserves for New Zealand sides during the last two seasons. Worthington Captain
D Worthington was appointed captain of the representative soccer team by the management committee meeting of the Canterbury Football Association last evening. P. Rennell was appointed vice-captain of the team, with Mr W. Carruthers as manager.
