TEMUKA STOCK SALE

Large entries were again the order of the day at yesterday's t stock sale at the Temuka saleyards. The entry of fat cattle comprised 90 head, most of which was good i quality beef. There was again competition in all pens offered, and the ’ market was just as keen as the good rates ruling last week. There were not many store cattle on offer, vahiee in this section remaining unchanged. The entry of fat sheep was an overflow one, there being four full ' races of fat wethers and ewes, with . fat ewes predominately placed before butchers. Competition was assisted by some outside buyers, but notwithstanding this fact, fat ewts were slightly easier as compared with recent rates. Good prime wethers practically , held late rates, and although the store sheep yarding was a very large one for this time of year, quite . a number of the pens were nondescript in character and there j were quite a number of tail-end lots. > The demand, however, erag M excellent one, most lota changinC ; hands at values which favoured thh 5 seller.
