Address To English Association
A re-assessment of the ninteenth' century writer Thomas Carlyle vias given by Mr E. Bohan in a recent address to the Canterbury English Association in Christchurch. Discussing the Importance at Carlyle in the age in wHch ha lived, Mr Bohan defended the charge that the writer’s theory of the hero had encouraged the rise of Nazlsip. The meeting was prerided over by the chairman (Professor J. C. Garrett).
