N.Z. OLYMPIC TEAM
Tour Of India Sought
If the New Zealand Olympic Council has no objection, the New Zealand hockey team may tour India and Pakistan following its competing in the Rome Olympics. At a meeting of the New Zealand Hockey Association’s management committee last evening it was decided to write to the Olympic council saying that while it was appreciated the hockey team was under its jurisdiction. the hockey association would appreciate the opportunity for the team to visit India and Pakistan after the Olympics to play matches. The committee could do no harm by saying it would like the team to play the extra matches, said Mr A. D. Holland. The view of the committee should be made known. The meeting then went into committee and reported its finding later in open meeting.
