Rider Injured, Pony Killed By Car
A polo pony was killed and a car was wrecked in an unusual collision at Roto-o-rangi, near Cambridge, at 6 pm. on Friday The pony .was ridden by Rex Papesch. aged 16. an employee of Mr D Russo, a farmer, of Roto-o rang!
The pony took fright and careered down Cox’s road, w’ ere it was struck by a car driven by Alan Beck, of 542 Grey street Hamilton.
Papesch received head injuries and was admitted to Waikato Hospital. Mr Beck was also injured, but not seriously.
