Remanded—Francis Macintosh Pitts, aged 33. a workman, was remanded until Thursday when he appeared before Messrs A. H. Dale and W. L. Moore, Justices of the Peace, m the Magistrate’s Court on Saturday on a charge of false pretences at Kaikoura. He was granted bail at £5O with one surety of. £5O and was ordered to report daily to the , police.
