FINED FOR ILLEGAL ENTRY

Swedish Seaman To Be Deported

(New Zealand Press Association) TIMARU, May 13.

Gensey Robard Lind, a 21-year-old Swedish seaman, admitted in the Magistrate’s Court at Timaru today that he had entered New Zealand at Dunedin on April 22 without a permit. He was fined ’•10, and Mr N. M. Izard, S.M., ordered that he be kept in custody and placed aboard the first available ship.

The Court was told that Lind had deserted from his ship, the Boogabilla. Lind told the Court he wanted to stay in New Zealand. The Magistrate said he must be deported unless he made the appropriate application.
