Ruapehu Road.—The formation

of a road westward of the spur from below Salt Hut to the national downhill ski run, Mount Ruapehu, was approved at the Tongariro National Park Board’s annual meeting at the Chateau, Tongariro. The half-mile road, which will climb about 200 ft, is expected to cost about £7100. (P.A.)
